The Inheritance Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a VERY different series, compared to The City We Became. And I’m relieved that’s the case. I’m within “book 3”. Head’s up: the binding is fragile and the covers’ easily ripped. Expect to do some DiY rebinding with thick, clear boxing tape. By approximately September 27/26, I got through all 3.5 books. Honestly, I was skimming through some later portions. It’ll be worth a re-read in a couple of years!
