2025 EASTER Sunday Rock Farm Report
Both TS and I pick up on the spiritual uptick this Easter long weekend. After decades in cities, the local tone is… different. It’s not my predilection. I’ll respect it from a distance.
On the rock ranch front:
- TS is leading the soil remediation around our home. The mud-pit between the east wall and septic system is getting its strata stabilized.
- Bears are waking up. Late spring so there’s no ground cover. No grazing opportunities. Delicious (bleh) household waste will get vandalized. We use our Food Cycler to rapidly decompose kitchen scraps… so our waste stream is unappetizing 🤮
- A metric f*ckton of widow-makers & deadfall in the bush. TS & PN need new construction or arborist hardhats. Pronto.
- TS’ mad chef skills are manifesting. This kitchen design is awesome. Creativity!
- Black Dog Biscuits had its first lucrative sales event this year. Purple Valley Maple Syrup Festival? You rock 🪨.
