Oh hell no!

Do you trust your instincts?

I must acknowledge that my analytical mind can easily be highjacked by emotions and biological needs. If I haven’t slept well, my ability to judge situations can be significantly degraded from my norms. TS can tell damn quickly when my mind’s task-loaded. STOP. THINK. RESPOND. My knee-jerk reactions have caused me a great deal of pain & anxiety.

Self-doubt. Jezzus, that can gnaw away at me. This is one of the reasons I meditate daily. It helps me manage racing thoughts. I can detect (and let go) the unconscious storyline unspooling as I muddle through life.

Mind you, if I’m walking my summer property lines, and I hear a buzzing noise… on a rock slab… trust my instincts and leave the danger-noodle ALONE. I love our Eastern massasauga (rattlesnakes).

If I’m at a guest’s home or near a cave opening… l and hear growling… I trust my instincts. And NOT investigate.
