What is good about having a pet?
When I’ve had enough of our house-panthers, I can scoop them up and toss them into a room. I do that to a human child, I get arrested. My niece & nephew are old enough to avoid this fate (when they eventually visit our farm). And companionship. The more people I meet, the more I enjoy my pets. What’s difficult about pets: I outlive them. I have no idea how vets process these emotionally-charged visits… when it’s time to euthanize a cat or dog.
Despite the heartbreak, I honour our fur-babes.

18:20 EST Update: the best way to reach TS and PN is through their cell phones. We dumped our land lines over 10 years ago — best telecomm decision we made. By the end of this month, we will be CLOSER TO OPENING BLACK CAT B&B… and I can finally update Google Maps… beta testing for the new enterprise will be at the end of 2024 (I have faith in Evolve Builders Inc.).
Re: preparing for renovations. Oh, electrical tape will not stick to walls if there’s any dust. F##k! 😦
