Thank TS for meals. Evening Meditations. Breathe. July 3rd Update!

How do you express your gratitude?

I don’t believe there’s a great big daddy in the sky that I must pay homage to. I’m a humanist, more of a deep ecologist. I am lucky to be part of a much larger ecosystem up here on the North Bruce Peninsula. Has it been disturbed? Of course it has. I know that I’m just a steward of the land here. I witness sunrises and sunsets.

Whenever possible, I thank TS for meals. I don’t mindlessly add salt, or any condiments to the foods that she prepares. I take the first bite. Stop. Savour. Think. Is Tobey‘s chef skills perfect? No. But it’s damn close.

Tobey and I give each other a kiss for good luck before we jump onto a motor vehicle.

And meditation. Lots of Headspace.

July 2, 2025 Rock Farm Update.

I’ve already showcased the pavilion.

I wanted to illustrate my next steps to TS and interested parties. Here’s my graffitied images, with circles and arrows…

…and a paragraph on the back of each one (thank you Arlo Guthrie & Alice’s Restaurant 18-minute Masacree in 4-part harmony [link]).

Priority:

  1. Plywood base.
  2. Bug screens. Removable. Wing-type fasteners. Could even hit ReStore if money’s tight.
  3. Seal house-pavilion junction. Block off rafters. Cheap & cheerful.
  4. Stain it the same time we do the bunkie’s exterior.

Btw… we have that partial bucket of garden shed paint. Could use it on the bunkie patio frame. Will get covered up with pressure-treated decking.

I’d appreciate comments about the pros/cons of water-based versus oil-based exterior stains.

Dear reader: comments? Suggestions? Hell, if supported with evidence, criticism? Thanks for perusing, eh.
