We had a another successful workweek on the farm. I stayed out of the way of the subcontractors on the construction site, kept my temper somewhat under control, and worked with TS and SB assembling our bunkie kit. PN learned new basic carpentry skills, under the guidance of Tranquil Solutions Canada (Wiarton, Ontario). I also learned about the consequences of letting a hydrophilic block of pine lumber sit in “layaway” and then remain unassembled ~8 months (despite being wrapped up). The warping and swollen pieces tested my troubleshooting skills. When that failed, SB took the lead and “saved the day”.

I’m battling a head cold I caught from the November 2 Owen Sound Farmer’s Market. From whom? Well, I’ll give you a hint: “cough cough cough… Gabriel! Cover your mouth!” Ohhhhhhhhh dear, young children. I do not blame mum and dad — they have their hands full teaching good manners to their little ones. I’m letting my body heal itself by drinking a lot of fluids, meditate, and sleep.

And PN is taking cold medications. Ohhhhhhhhhh yeahhhhhhh. I won’t be operating any heavy machinery for the next few dayzzzz.
