Rural parcel delivery (good, bad, [not] ugly)!

Well, the good news first: I parked my anus at our Lindsay Road 40 driveway & waited for my $3K satellite dish. And safely received it. Thank you, Peninsula Parcels.

That… was the positive.

Bad news: the overpriced chunk of steel (pole bracket) is now misplaced.

I’m asking my awesome neighbour to check in front of the gate.

Lesson learned: DEMAND A SIGNATURE FOR DELIVERIES + INSTRUCT “hold at depot” for items.

😑

15:00 Update: THIS. This is why one develops relationships with one’s neighbours. MS hopped into his car, drove over to our green gate, and picked up the ~1kg parcel. Left at the gate. NO PROOF OF DELIVERY posted on Purolator.

Left it at the side of the road. And when I called them, agent said given to a 3rd party (no idea whom). 🙄
Red rocket, kitted out to move doggies!

Follow-up: I did complain to my satellite ISP. Their response…

Purolator used a Kafkaesque bot to handle my online interactions. Nope. Nope. Nope!

If you can’t see the image. Apparently Parks Canada wants to remind visitors to check for booking reservations at their campsite (Five Fathoms & The Grotto… I’m looking at you).
