Oranges… because they have fragrant blossoms. Apples… because we might actually be able to grow these beauties at our latitude. Hawaiian field-picked pineapple… because once they’re picked, they don’t age well at all. Blackberries… because the British Columbia variety have sharp spines and they make me work for the fruit. Blueberries… because the big fat ones grow best in boggy soil. And there seems to be some kinds of ecological interactions between bogs, blueberries, and ants.
