Upon first blush, I answered today’s writing prompt like this:
I’m enjoying the flexibility of working some days, and walking away others. I find I now have the fortitude to stick with tasks, as time constraints are now less for me. I don’t worry about a cohort of young adults – are they occupied? Are they learning desirable traits? Am I portraying my best attributes? Are they being assessed?
And I can pay attention to my surroundings. In particular, I can modify my pace to our woodlot’s rhythm. Its drama.
